To recognise any business that puts the Melton Borough area on the map as a great place to live and visit.
Best Independent Retailer
Open to all independent retail businesses and will be awarded to the business that can best display first class customer service, market and customer engagement excellence, product and services, innovation & differentiation, the ability to adapt to consumer/trading trends
Best Local Food/Drink Producer
This award recognises the fantastic food and drink products being created within the Melton borough.
Best Place to Eat/Drink
This award is for a local hotel, restaurant, cafe or pub that can demonstrate creativity, good customer service, value for money and a great food/drink “experience”.
Employee/Team of the Year
This award celebrates an individual's or teams dedication and commitment to the business and who always goes the extra mile and exceeds expectations within their company.
Young Business Entrepreneur
We are looking for a young entrepreneur, under 35 years of age who has set up a business within The Melton Times circulation area. The business can be in any sector but entrants must demonstrate that they have made a difference, in their sector, for the community or the environment.
Best New Business/Start Up of the Year
This award is for a new enterprise set up in the last 18 months
Business Person of the Year
A business person who stands out from the rest as a leader with excellent communicative skills and that ‘X’ factor that brings success at every level…
Customer Focus Award
Open to any business or organisation (including community clubs/groups) that value their customers and provide excellent customer service at all times.
After Dark Award
Open to places that encourage people to use the town centre from early evening until late night
Apprentice of the Year
To recognise any apprentice who has gone that extra mile and exceeded the expectations of their trainer or mentor

Health Hero Award (Professional)
This award celebrates the Borough’s incredible professional health and care service workers who have put themselves before others in our time of need over the past 16 months.
Community Group/Project of the Year
An award to recognise the achievements of Melton Mowbray based projects or an individual/group which exist to benefit the local community.
Health Hero Award (volunteer/carer)
This award celebrates the Borough’s invaluable volunteers that have supported us throughout the pandemic
Primary/Secondary School Pupil of the Year
Recognition of a pupil who has made an outstanding contribution, academic or otherwise. This pupil exerts a positive influence on other students, is approachable by staff and pupils alike and is happy to get involved in activities for the school. An all round good citizen for your school!
Child of Courage
We are looking for a child who has shown exceptional courage in their life. They may have overcome great odds or made sacrifices above and beyond the call of duty. The nominee may have shown courage in dealing with an illness or battling through a traumatic experience.
Contribution to the Community
This award recognises an unsung individual who has worked, often unseen, for the benefit of the community.
